Ludwig Schönefeld has been in charge of the Corporate Communications department of HOERBIGER Holding AG in Zug, Switzerland, since 2006.
After training as a journalist with the Ruhr-Nachrichten newspaper in Dortmund and Frankfurter Neuen Presse, he switched to a career in public relations in 1986. Following various positions in the corporate Public Relations department of HOECHST AG, Frankfurt, he was head of corporate communications with the HERBERTS group in Wuppertal from 1997 to 1999. From 1999 until he moved to HOERBIGER Holding AG in 2006, he was with Celanese AG, Kronberg, where he was initially in charge of coordination of environmental protection and liability management in Europe and later responsible for numerous process improvements in the administrative area as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Ludwig Schönefeld studied Social Science, History and Literature at Hagen University, specializing in labor and industrial sociology. His Master's thesis was an exploration of management systems in hazardous goods transport companies. He acquired his economic skills at the International School of Management, Dortmund.
